Seriously. Chalk.
Specifically this photo, used in this post from early July about the boys playing with sidewalk chalk (and eventually ganging up on me, which is how I foresee most of my anecdotes about the boys ending for the next, oh, 50 years or so). I know this because I occasionally check out the site stats that WordPress helpfully tracks for me (not obsessively, I promise you that, for my site stats become glaringly depressing if I stare at them too long), and every single day at least somebody visits the site after finding it by Googling “chalk.”
And usually not just one person a day, mind you, but several. On Oct. 12, I had a whopping 15 page views on the site; six of them came from people searching for “chalk.” On Oct. 18, the following search terms brought people to my site:
- Chalk
- fussy 3 week old baby frets constantly
- images of chalk
- it’s never too early to start drinking
- handsome approach
- picture of chalk
At least a couple of those folks found some relevant content.
I can’t imagine what these chalk seekers are hoping to find here but I’m quite certain they leave sorely disappointed, as I am not a street artist or a teacher or a crime scene investigator, which are the only three things I can imagine people looking up “chalk” on the internet are hoping to see or read about.
Ah, well, who cares. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
heh.
